We specialise in the best of local real ales at The George. We usually have a couple of guest ales available to sample and you’ll almost certainly love our regular ales too. These include beers from the Great Oakley Brewery, which is no distance up the road, and from the Vale Brewery in Brill.

Vale Pale Ale, 4.2% abv, Vale Brewery Company, Brill.

Hops from across the Atlantic together with Kent's finest deliver an assertive, dry hoppy ale with a pronounced malt background. Gold Medal winner at the 2007 Reading Beer Festival.

Very pale, slightly sweet with pleasant fruity aftertaste.

Tiffield Thunderbolt, 4.2% abv, Great Oakley Brewery, Tiffield.

Tiffield Thunderbolt is a thirst-quenching delight of a pale beer brewed with two different New Zealand hops.


Guest Ales

  • Brill Gold 3.5% abv - A golden session ale made from the finest Maris Otter malted barley and English Hops. The full malt flavour is well balanced with fruity, slightly citrus hop aromas and soft bitterness. Brewed by Vale Brewery, Brill, Aylesbury.

  • Prost 4.2%abv - A Bavarian Dunkelweizen! The traditional German drinking toast. This darker version of a traditional German wheat beer has  complex toasted malt flavours. As well as aromas of clove, vanilla and banana from use of a traditional German yeast. Prost! Brewed by Aylesbury Brewhouse, Aylesbury.
  • The Greedy King 4.7% abv -Pale ale single hopped with Citra hops. Brewed by Muirhouse Brewery, Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
  • Shopping for Hops 3.9% abv - Pale and hoppy with a citrus bitterness. Marynka hops. Brewed by Muirhouse Brewery, Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
