We specialise in the best of local real ales at The George. We usually have a couple of guest ales available to sample and you’ll almost certainly love our regular ales too. These include beers from the Great Oakley Brewery, which is no distance up the road, and from the Vale Brewery in Brill.

Vale Pale Ale, 4.2% abv, Vale Brewery Company, Brill.

Hops from across the Atlantic together with Kent's finest deliver an assertive, dry hoppy ale with a pronounced malt background. Gold Medal winner at the 2007 Reading Beer Festival.

Very pale, slightly sweet with pleasant fruity aftertaste.

Timothy Taylor Landlord, 4.3% abv, Timothy Taylor & Co Ltd, Keighley, West Yorks.

The drinkers’ favourite, a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma. And it has won more awards than any other beer, winning both CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Britain and the Brewing Industry Challenge Cup four times.

  • Witch Ale - 4.4% abv - A tawny coloured, fully hopped but well balanced ale to give a rich full palate with a black pepper and herb garden aroma. Brewed by Heritage Brewing Company, Burton.
  • Crimson Comet 4.5% abv - Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas from Timothy Taylor's! Introducing their first ever beer made specially for the festive period. Crimson Comet is a 4.5% abv rich Red Ale with spices and a twist of citrus hops. Brewed by Timothy Taylor's Brewery Keighley, West Yorkshire,
  • Bee Sting 6.8%abv - Traditional pear perry. STILL MEDIUM SWEET PERRY OOZING WITH SUBTLE FLAVOURS AND WITH CULT STATUS AMONG MANY OF IT'S DEVOTEES. Produced by Lily's Cider, Frome, Somerset.
